Week Update: 26/03/2013

Wow, over a year since my last post D:

Well I currently have three main passions in my life: food, Middle-Earth and clothes.

 -Food

Quality, quality, quality.
My favourite kind of chocolate used to be white chocolate because of it being really sweet, but right now I'm loving dark chocolate. With white chocolate I could eat a whole bar but with dark chocolate I'm satisfied with just two pieces. I'm loving the rich, kinda fruity taste of high cocoa percentage chocolate. I tried one dark chocolate bar with peppermint oil and that was just simply beautiful.
Recently I've gone back to baking the things that I baked when I first really started my baking and trying out a few changes. Examples of these things include my bourbons and orange syrup loaf. It was nice revisiting them and thinking about the memories surrounding them.
This month its been all about Thai food, I've been trying out recipes and tasting things to find out what I like. I'm not a big fan of curries of any kind but I found this delicious Thai coconut curry which I loved.
I also have good news, I have an interview at Bettys Tea Room in York this week. DREAM JOB. I'm a little nervous about the interview but I'm doing the most interview prep I've ever done for any job. If they ask me why I want to work for Bettys I feel like I can go on forever.

-Middle-Earth

Got my geek on recently. The new Hobbit films reignited my love for Tolkien's work and at the currently moment I am officially obsessed. I think about it at least once every half an hour. I have bookmarked about ten t-shirts I want to get, need to get before I die (: I love The Hobbit more than Lord of the Rings because of all the Dwarves. Dwarves are my favourite. Gimli was my favourite character from Lord of the Rings, he is just pure awesome. My favourite character from The Hobbit has to be Thorin and I love what Richard Armitage has done with the character. I also thought he was good in BBC's Robin Hood, which I loved, but I haven't seen him in anything else. The movies coming out has made me get out my Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit books out (:

-Clothes

This month my clothes money have been spent on clothes and swimwear for when I go on holiday next week. I've found Kelly Brook's range in New Look good for swimwear.
But more about my current interests. I've caught on to the Cult Party Kei 'phase', as some people been calling it, I hope it wont be just a phase though. The previous 'phase' Creepy Cute I showed a mild interest in but it never really captured me. Because I have only been buying clothes and stuff for my holiday I haven't been able to partake in the fashion but I have bought a white tulle skirt for my first coord that I've been planning. I have realised that I'm very picky about how I like the fashion to be worn. I prefer all white coords or extremely pale shade of colour, I really like the angel kinda look.

Winter International Lolita Day

It was Winter International Lolita Day (what a mouthful) on Saturday and I went to a meet in Manchester hosted by http://sakura-moments.blogspot.com/. I can't remember actually being in Manchester before so it was strange and different but very good :) This was the outfit I wore for the meet:
I couldn't do a full outfit shot in my parents mirror so I split it.

This is a close up of my make up and hair

This is to get my shoes and tights in :3

When we got to Manchester we went to get some lunch at China Town, I was so excited when I found out Manchester had a China Town :D I have a collection of the walls in different China Towns across the UK, so I had to get a snap of that one.

With our hosts head in it :)

At China Town we went to the first buffet we saw because it was raining :(  I was quite surprised to find that they had sushi there too! Proof!
We also got a little present which was a pack of Pocky, which I managed to eat before getting home :3 From there we went to the Christmas market they had going on, I love Christmas markets. But it was absolutely packed, you couldn't actually move and I couldn't get my camera out to snap some pictures. However there was an inside bit which was a very beautiful building, to show you an example of its beauty I  took a picture of  part of the inside of it.

After fighting our way through the market we went to find the ice rink but we had to buy tickets and wait for the next session. Meanwhile shoe shots! This shoe shot was not taken by me but I asked permission to use it :)
Can you tell which one is mine?
And also on my way back to the station I saw...
THE COCA COLA VAN!!!!

Last Week Round Up: 5

Hey guys, its been an okay week this week. I've focused more on fairy kei or alternative clothing or them both together, which I rather like :) but I do have some new lolita things:

A bodyline blouse I bought of the sales

At closer inspection I noticed it originally had detachable sleeves

The seller neglected to mention there was a hole in the lace.
New Bodyline shoes, so cute :3

New Bodyline dress, its really cute :) a little big though

Close up at the top, heart buttons and bow

Wasn't too sure about the flaps

The bottom, its straight out of the packaging so I needs an iron

The back of the dress
I got some accessories also :):
This is a two way clip, Alice in Wonderland Drink Me

Gorgeous Snow White necklace

Care Bear Ring and a Bat ring :)

On Saturday it was Winter International Lolita Day and I went to a lolita meet in Manchester, I can't remember ever being in Manchester so I was in amazement the majority of the time. I will make a post with some pictures, like I did with the Liverpool meet during the week. Maybe tomorrow depending on how busy I am.

I started my Hello Kitty advent calendar this week, despite some friends telling me I'm too old for one. I also got my boyfriend one but he was wanting to eat all the chocolates all at once so I'm keeping an eye on him with it :3 Here's a picture of our two advent calendars:

It took me ages to watch Merlin because I had to watch it on iplayer and it just really didn't want to play! It really wound me up, but then I managed to make it play. I must say Bradley's acting in the episode was just brilliant, especially at the end my heart really went out to Arthur. Was a beautiful episode, that showed that Arthur can and will be a good King. The trailer for the next episode had me like this D: and I now can't wait until next week. I hope Gwen and Arthur get back together, get married and have Arwen babies >_<.

I put up another sales post on egl_comm_sales so here is a link to that, in case you see something you're interested in:

Non-Lolita Clothing Inspiration

Recently I've been focusing a lot of my lolita clothing, which is not a bad thing at all but I've been wanting to update my non-lolita clothing for a while as most of my lolita is more suitable for spring or autumn. Also where as in lolita I like to wear more sweet stuff, outside lolita I do wear other styles. So this week I've searched the internet for items of clothing I've liked and made a few coords out of them on good old paint. There is a lot of items that I haven't used so far and there are items that I've used a couple of times. These are the eight I've done so far, any help you can give; such as sites that you think I might like, opinions on particular coords and changes I might make would be very useful. Thanks :)

Alice in Wonderland Exhibition Meet

So I went to a lolita meet in Liverpool on Saturday which I did enjoy and I wanted to share some things about the meet. We weren't allowed to take picture of the exhibition so I there unfortunately aren't many. I had never met anyone who was going to the meet before and I was very nervous as I am rather shy.
I wore my Innocent Work Gertude JSK, with my off white Bodyline cardigan underneath which acted as a good blouse. On my feet I wore my An*Tai*Na tea parties, with thick off brand tights and over the top I had an off brand pink cardigan. I don't usually wear more accessories than a headbow, but this time I wore an offbrand pink headbow and a two way clip that I bought especially for the event. The Drink Me bottle: http://patisseriepink.livejournal.com/1363.html I didn't have anything Alice in Wonderland so I thought it was only right a I bought something for the event.

One of the girls there did a video of the day, which was a very nice idea :) See if you can spot me!

Now for some pictures:
This is the outside :)
