Non-Lolita Clothing Inspiration

Recently I've been focusing a lot of my lolita clothing, which is not a bad thing at all but I've been wanting to update my non-lolita clothing for a while as most of my lolita is more suitable for spring or autumn. Also where as in lolita I like to wear more sweet stuff, outside lolita I do wear other styles. So this week I've searched the internet for items of clothing I've liked and made a few coords out of them on good old paint. There is a lot of items that I haven't used so far and there are items that I've used a couple of times. These are the eight I've done so far, any help you can give; such as sites that you think I might like, opinions on particular coords and changes I might make would be very useful. Thanks :)

Alice in Wonderland Exhibition Meet

So I went to a lolita meet in Liverpool on Saturday which I did enjoy and I wanted to share some things about the meet. We weren't allowed to take picture of the exhibition so I there unfortunately aren't many. I had never met anyone who was going to the meet before and I was very nervous as I am rather shy.
I wore my Innocent Work Gertude JSK, with my off white Bodyline cardigan underneath which acted as a good blouse. On my feet I wore my An*Tai*Na tea parties, with thick off brand tights and over the top I had an off brand pink cardigan. I don't usually wear more accessories than a headbow, but this time I wore an offbrand pink headbow and a two way clip that I bought especially for the event. The Drink Me bottle: http://patisseriepink.livejournal.com/1363.html I didn't have anything Alice in Wonderland so I thought it was only right a I bought something for the event.

One of the girls there did a video of the day, which was a very nice idea :) See if you can spot me!

Now for some pictures:

Last Week Round Up: 4

I still haven't recieved my Bodyline order but I noticed another girl had the same problem and she got hers fine in the end, so I'm not too worried.

My boyfriend has let me borrow his camera for the weekend, so I can take pictures which is very helpful!
So here are some pictures of the JSK's I got last week:
This is by The Snow Field, it's called Forest Story.

The bottom of the dress, nicely finished off.

Also in my world of lolita I went to a meet in Liverpool, where we went to the Alice in Wonderland exhibition at Liverpool Tate. That was really good, wished I could have stayed to go to the Christmas market but its a three hour train ride. I'm hopefully going to make a post about the meet with some pictures and a video. I'm quite busy with meets at the moment, there was this meet on Saturday and a Manchester meet on Saturday and next Wednesday I have my own meet in Leeds.

Now off the topic of lolita, MERLIN. I watched the episode on iplayer after coming back from Liverpool on Saturday. My friend had already text me about the episode and I had to refrain from reading it which was very difficult. I'm a Arwen shipper so the episode was really sad for me, damn that Morgana! I hope this mistake gets corrected soon and Gwen and Arthur get married. I loved the outfits Gwen wore in this episode, I think they really complimented Angel's lovely figure. What upset me slightly is that fact Gwen's brother didn't stick up for her at all in this episode. The entire episode I was like please fix it Merlin!

My boyfriend started work this week and I'm happy I still get to see him as much just at different times than normal :) It also means that I can get more done during the day, which is an added bonus.

I've now completed the first series of Robert Muchamore's CHERUB books, I do love the books and the stories I feel that there is a lot young people can learn from them. However towards the end of the series there is a lot more swearing and quite a ridiculous amount of references to sex. I know that people grow up but come on seriously. However I am looking forward to reading the second series and The Henderson Boy's which I have reserved.

Last Week Round Up: 3

Well this week I still haven't received my other Bodyline order :/ getting worried now and I'm going to post a question on EGL in a bit about it. It's my most expensive order so its more important than the others.

Had a falling out with my mum and my mum has the camera so I'm unable to put pictures up, this means I can't sell something's that need selling :(

I did receive however my dress from indie brand The Snow Field, its so lovely. This is their facebook shop: http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Snow-Field/221432481233984
And this is the dress I got: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=255628057814426&set=a.221439034566662.52645.221432481233984&type=3&theater
My dress is a little smaller and has waist ties to, that I asked for. Very friendly and informative, good place to commission a dress from :) I love my new dress.
Also I got my kidsyoyo JSK, that is also gorgeous. I love the little strawberry buttons on the front and on the waist ties. Never bought from kidsyoyo before and I'm very happy. This is the dress: http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=9984052666 I bought via Oo Jia.
My first Innocent World JSK came, Gertrude short version in blue. http://hellolace.net/wardrobe/innocent-world/type/jsk/item/104/ The material is much nicer than I expected, I don't think the stock photo does the dress justice. It really is lovely. I think I'm wearing it to Saturdays meet. However one thing bothered my about the dress, which was the straps being buttoned I don't really see the point  and they'd come undone when trying it on. But I'm not the most graceful at putting clothes on.
The Anna House blouse I bought came, I think I must have totally messed up on the measurements because its so big on me! It's gone up for sale but I can't post it on the comm sales since I have to camera to take a proof picture :/

My boyfriend got the job, which I'm happy about but I will miss seeing him so much. He starts that this Thursday.

I've now completely finished my Christmas shopping, but my Christmas cards are at my mums house and I can't get them due to our falling out :( Seem some awesome Disney Princess, so might just buy some more... undecided right now.
I completed watching all the Disney Princess movies now, after watching Tangled and The Princess and the Frog last week. That makes me sad :(.

Spent the weekend at my friends house, was a nice change. Had a laugh not seen them in a while.

Merlin was okay this week, it was nice that Gwen got a piece of the action. However it feels like there are too many filler episodes now, the odd filler is good but they're taking the mick a bit. Also it greatly annoys me that they always include a sexist comment in every episode. Come on please, its my favourite show don't ruin it for me!

Last Week Round Up: 2

I have received 2/3 Bodyline packages, the two I've received are the last thing orders I placed. I hope something bad hasn't happened to my other order :/ But on to the clothes!
This is the cardigan I've ordered from them and I must say that is it the best Bodyline item I've ever bought! The material is all soft and lovely, the embroidery is gorgeous and the lace is nice.

Close up of the lace and embroidery, as you can see not bad stuff :) Bodyline has gone up! I feel like a princess in it :3
I also got some socks to go with the JSK in the first order I placed form Bodyline which I haven't received yet. They are cute and simple, just what I ordered.

I purchased these rose tights because I recently laddered my rose tights that I already had, the tights weren't like the ones shown on the site or on the packet. However I do like them more :) I accidently bought two pairs and I'm selling the other pair for £2.

New night dress, bit shorter than I wanted but I should have checked the length before. Oh well. The fabric is really nice and soft, however I would have liked the bow to be detachable. The straps as you can see from the pictures are fully shirred and also I did a close up on the nice rose lace :)

Now to un-Bodyline clothes, I got some Angelic Pretty navy ribbon OTK.
And Meta's Hansel and Gretal print skirt, that I'm going to wear for my German Christmas market meet :3
It's really cute!

This week I managed to sell a lot of things I had been trying to sell for a while now, so I'm happy about that. My boyfriend had an interview and I went with him to that and wrote him a reference and he got the job, which is good. Its a bit sad because I wont get to see him as much but its a step in the right direction :)

This weekend I cooked for my mum and sister, I think I did very well. I made lemon and Tyne duck legs, with roasted sweet potatoes and chantenay carrots. My sister then made up a lemon drizzle cake for dessert, it was usually other way around. Me making dessert and my sister making the main. Nice change.
We discovered a dolls house shop locally also this weekend and we ended up buying some fake roof tiles for my dolls house. I watched some films I haven't seen in ages but love, these were; Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Cinderella and Hans Christian Anderson. Had the Thumbelina song in my all weekend, so here is it for you:

It was my lolita meet on Sunday and we went to New Conservatory in Leeds, it was quite busy there and it took us a while to get some food. However it was rather nice in the end. Afterwards we went to Cupcakes by Charley and sat and ate a cupcake in there before looking around some shops. I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to the next meet I go to.

Still not heard anything from the optitions yet :/ really need some new glasses, the ones I have now just aren't strong enough.

Merlin was absolutely amazing this week! Best episode this series so far! Made me laugh and cry and go in hysterics, was brilliant :)
